Classes - How we dance

Strictly FITT - Frequency Intensity Time Type

Let me take you on a non-stop aerobic musical blast from the past to the present!

This exhilarating, full-body workout is definitely all about the music and you will buzz!

I’ll teach you to dance for yourself, with classes specially-choreographed to engage specific muscle groups for maximum energy burn using the FITT principle, moving you with every dance and aerobic step imaginable.

Cha-cha, salsa, foxtrot, quickstep, waltz, samba, freestyle, country, aerobic dance, disco- the list is endless.

This 60 minutes of dance fitness, provides major physical and psychological benefits including brain training by remembering repeated patterns, weight loss, body shape change and reduced incidences of many diseases and conditions resulting in reduced or elimination of medications.

Be prepared to have the most fun, get fit, toned, gorgeous and happy in your own skin. Bring a drink, a towel and a friend!

Strictly Get Set Go

Perfect for those new to dance, a 6 week course which includes 6 x 1 hour sessions of basic Strictly FITT steps, choreography and dance terminology made simple, which progresses over the 6 weeks. We would then signpost you to whichever class we felt appropriate for time and location. A DVD is also included of the steps covered and as a bonus, a 1 hour free personal tuition session is included to offer maximum support when the course has finished, either at home or at one of our venues. Register your interest now for the next available date.

Strictly Ripped - Resistance Intensity Physical Power Endurance Dynamics

For those who like to feel the burn, to tone and to strengthen using barbells and dumbbells, then this is for you!

This is a formula based on high repetitions and low resistance, working out to great tunes, not a muscle left unworked!

This workout develops additional muscle fibres and muscle mass. Therefore, there are more sites in the body to burn energy, with an elevated metabolism, resulting in a leaner, more toned physique.

Strictly VIP - Designed for a Very Independent Person

A chair or free-standing exercise programme for those who may find Strictly FITT a little too strenuous.

The focus is on muscle groups that we need to use and mobilise to stay independent in our homes.

This can also help to combat disease, muscular atrophy and osteoporosis.

I have a specific Independent Living Qualification and I use resistance bands- called latex lovelies- for a bit of a giggle too.

The music is familiar and fun with a little reminiscence in the form of sing song and a trip down memory lane.

Strictly Inclusive

Let me empower you with my experience of working with special needs populations, both children and adults alike, providing health and fitness benefits on every level in a fun, stimulating and social way.

This programme is for people with differing abilities, provided in a caring and understanding, non-threatening environment. Private halls can be hired or a mobile service offered to care settings.

Strictly Private

Private dance tuition if you need that extra support especially for beginners, personal training, small group training, team building, corporate events, sports days, competitions, quizzes- or whatever your requirements. I’ll have something fantastic and unique to offer, completely tailored to suit your needs.

Strictly Party

Leave it to me, my organisational and my creative skills, whether it’s an hour, an evening or a fully-themed and tailored event to suit your exact requirements.

Birthday parties, salsa nights, hen nights, wedding dances, wedding anniversaries, children’s party entertainment, fashion shows, musical support and choreography for shows, galas, charity events and summer balls- there’s not much I can’t offer!

Strictly On Prescription

I can also be commissioned for private work on prescription to combat ill health in many of its forms, reducing the need for medications by using my exercise on prescription qualification.

The qualification is to target and reduce the cost of drugs and medicines on the NHS. This programme can also be used for rehabilitation of cardiac patients, strokes and many other medical conditions to get individuals back on the move or, equally, as prevention to ill health.

Strictly Kids

With great experience in schools across Teesside and North Yorkshire, I can deliver dance or sport from Reception to KS4. Whether it’s a one off, for a term or longer, I can provide schemes of work or follow the schools curricular or extra-curricular plans. From the fundamentals of movement in reception to KS3/4 exam preparation, shows, functions, fundraising events and sports days, I can assist with all sorts of aspects.

Strictly No Diet

... because who wants to give up the things they love? The balance of good health is a great healthy living tool and enjoying everything in moderation. This is a sensible approach to a lifestyle where we avoid dieting which is a negative state of mind. Get back to basics with a simple approach where weight doesn’t really come into it. This is more about how we look and feel by making healthier choices through education support and portion control. This is combined with an achievable lifestyle exercise programme and continued support throughout.
